What To Look For When Buying A Trampoline
1.) The Trampoline Frame:
The most important part is a good quality trampoline frame. The thickness of the metal, the size of the pipe and the quality of the welds will cause the trampoline frame to last longer. Always ask for the heavier gauge. The lower the number the thicker the steel. We offer trampolines from 12 gauge to 16 gauge. The most common is the 14 gauge.
2.) The Trampoline Mat (or Bed):
Ask for Grade A or #1 Polypropylene as some companies call it. Anything other than that is not acceptable for trampoline use. Make sure it has at least 710# bursting strength per square inch. Make sure the threading that is used is UV treated and heavy. The Sunguard is an option that can be sewn on the trampoline mat to make your stitching last longer. Make sure the attachment used is
v-rings. Trampolines that use grommets or clamps are inserted onto the mat and we feel can get in the
way of the jumper.
3.) Trampoline Spring:
It’s not just the length and its not just the trampoline spring count that gives you the best bounce. It’s the resiliency (the recoil) of the spring. All of our trampoline springs whether they are 5.5 - 10” springs have a resiliency that is designed for a fantastic bounce. Very rarely will there ever be a problem with your trampoline springs.
4.) The Trampoline Pad:
Make sure its wide enough to cover all of your trampoline springs. (This is most important). Next is to make sure trampoline pad is thick enough so you dont feel the trampoline frame underneath. You want to have a good quality vinyl and polyethylene foam. We recommend that your trampoline pad be at least a 1/2" to 1” thick.
